Happy Friday! I've been thinking a good bit about collecting. Over the past couple days, I've been going through my Webkinz collection to decide which ones I can let go of. (I have quite a few that I haven't adopted virtually onto the game.) My little sister was getting rid of her My Little Pony collection and I bought some off of her. She's saving up for Breath of the Wild so that's going to be pretty cool to see her play. ^^
I collect mainly Littlest Pet Shop figures, My Little Pony (generations 1, 3, and 4), Webkinz, and Folkmanis Puppets. I've loved Littlest Pet Shop since I was in 5th or 4th grade. It didn't start that way though. When I first saw them, I wasn't impressed XD My first exposure was from my younger sister Amanda who was given a pug and a chihuahua figure by some girl at school. I thought for lack of a better word that they were derpy and didn't compare to my favorite toy at the time, Furryville. Furryville was tiny stuffed anthro animals with moving joints and clothes. They usually came with some accessories and were bundled together in family packs. I still have my collection but it's pretty small. I was converted to Littlest Pet Shop when I started making videos with them on our old Mac's webcam. A lot of those old videos were deleted when the Mac ran out of memory and the files were corrupted, but at least I saved some of those videos on LPSkool. Besides all of the fun times playing with my sisters, I'd have to say watching the early 2006-2007 videos on YouTube of Littlest Pet Shop inspired me to look at my collection in a different light. To this day I still enjoy LPS, but would I still have the same connection to them that I do now if I hadn't made videos of them? I'm pretty sure that I would've stopped collecting them a while ago. Maybe a few here and there that I liked, sort of similar to how I collect new ponies for my MLP collection.
I started collecting puppets after I got Maggie for my birthday from my late Papa. She opened a whole new world to me. I loved to carry her around everywhere. When I brought her into stores, I could convince people that she was real by making her cock her head at them or by simply licking her paw. I loved getting a new puppet for Christmas or my Birthday because I was in love with making new characters- giving that puppet a story and a life of its own.
The ponies date back to when I was little. One of my first memories is my unicorn birthday party that I had for turning 4 years old. Unicorns have always been a favorite, so I guess it was natural for me to attach my interest to MLP.
My Webkinz collection started on Christmas day of 2007 when I found Leo the lion in my stocking. From there it became a tradition since my sisters and I loved that first time we found Webkinz in our stocking.
An overarching theme I'm getting here is that I personally love to collect what I do because I can give each member of my collections a character and a story. Something with a face. Not just some random object. Yes objects have stories, but I like to be a part of the story given to a particular item that I own. Also, I love animals. XD I think that may be pretty obvious.
Collections are pretty fascinating in my opinion. I'm aware that some people do not like to collect stuff. If you are that person, why? I'm curious. Also, you can collect things virtually. Collections don't have to be physical. For example, I like collecting stamps for my DA profile! So what do you collect? Do you collect some of the same things as me? For the same reasons or different? Why do you collect what you collect? Let's talk about it!

New Guidelines for Having Your Fan Art Featured
***Important Announcement Regarding Fan Art*** From this point on REGARDLESS of if you have submitted fan art in the past, I will need everyone here to post a link to their fan art in order for me to feature it in LPSlover Fan Fridays. That could be the link to the art piece being posted on Twitter, Deviantart, Instagram, etc. If you do not give me that link, I will NOT feature your art. I credit fans in LFFs in the descriptions with one link to the original place that the artwork was posted. This is the one exception to the rule for self promotion as it will allow me to ensure that I credit you fairly. Just post that -one- link along with your artwork in the comments. That is all I need and is allowed within the updated rules. If You Wish to Have Your Art Featured in LPSlover Fan Friday Episodes LPSlover Fan Fridays #5 is coming up shortly. If you have submitted art for that, you must follow the new guidelines. If you have talked to me about it previously, whether it was on the
Who's Interested in a LPSlover Discord Server?
Hey magical ponies! I'm here to gauge the interest in a LPSlover Discord server. If you're not familiar with Discord, it is a free app that offers people a place to set up text channels and voice channels to talk. I'm interested in building an active community and it seems like Discord would be the best place to do that. I have already set up the server! So far it includes a place to enter in the server through a portal, the rules, a channel to be notified about new videos, a discussion for the community to talk about the videos, LPSlover specific holidays, introductions (so you can get to know fellow magical ponies), the rainbow fields which is an off topic channel where we've mostly shared memes, fan art, general voice channel, a paranormal investigation voice channel (you know for those random nights when I try communicating with spirits), and a streams voice channel. I'll most likely be adding a few patron exclusive channels. Right now the whole server is only patrons and some of

I've been collecting LPS and Webkinz since elementary school (2007/4th grade for Webkinz, maybe a year before that for LPS?), and over the past few years I've started collecting My Little Pony figures and Ever After High dolls. Now I have some Monster High dolls as well. I also have 3 American Girl dolls, and my grandma used to send me clothes and stuff for them, so I have a huge collection of those. I collect other stuffed animals besides Webkinz- these days I usually get them cheap from Kiwanis. I'd like to have an Amazing World collection, but right now I only have one figure and one plush offline (they're hard to find at a good price).
